Guests
We love hosting travellers, couples, work groups and families, and can accommodate a family group of six for a short stay. This isn't a party house, and while we're not able to host five adults for longer stays due to hot water limits, or accommodate emergency housing placements, every stay comes with a warm welcome, local knowledge and years of experience helping people settle in.
A few things to know
We live in a quiet neighbourhood, so we ask all guests to keep noise to a minimum between 10pm and 7am. We have off street parking for one car or van, but our driveway isn't suitable for trucks. There's plenty of off street parking nearby if you need it.
We're smoke free and vape free, inside and out. To keep things pleasant for everyone sharing the space, we ask guests to avoid cooking fish, curries, deep fried food or other strong smelling meals.
We don't have continuous hot water, just a large gas tank, so for bigger groups it may help to keep showers short or stagger them between morning and night.
Special discounts
We also offer discounts for guests cycling or walking through New Zealand, travelling families on an extended trip, and anyone stranded in Wellington due to a cancelled flight or ferry sailing. Just ask when you get in touch.
Rates
All rates are based on 4 guests. An adult is anyone aged 18 or over, younger children are under 12. Minimum stay of 2 nights.
Every stay includes: breakfast supplies for up to a week, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a bottle of wine or beer, unlimited Wi-Fi and Chromecast, and parking for one vehicle.
Short stays
$200
per night
2 to 3 nights: Max 6 guests.
4 to 6 nights: Max 5 guests.
Family groups only: up to 6 guests total, with a maximum of 4 adults, the remaining places for younger children, though space will be tight.
Extra adult: $25 per night
Weekly stays

One week: Max 5 guests.
Longer than a week: Max 4 adults.
Family groups only: up to 6 guests total, with a maximum of 4 adults, the remaining places for younger children, though space will be tight.

Cleaning service
We provide cleaning products, cleaning equipment and spare linen for guests to use during their stay. We also offer a cleaning service for $100 per visit, which includes a change of linen. We recommend fortnightly cleaning for longer stays.
